HCl Gas Generation Unit (Boiling Route)

'Super' Supplies Various Dry HCl gas generation plant based on different capacities ranging from 5kg./hr. to 300 kg./hr.

30% HCl is fed to the unit continuously by the Pump or through Overhead tank depending upon the customer requirement and site height availability. 20-21% Azeotropic HCl/Water mixture is formed into Thermosyphon Reboiler by boiling 30% HCl. By product 20-21% spent Hydrochloric acid is continuously discharged from the bottom of the stripping column. The 20% spent HCl is cooled by an acid cooler prior to discharge into an intermediate spent acid storage tank.

The condensation system at top of column consists of :

  • Cooling Water Condenser

  • Chilled Water Condenser

  • Chilled Brine Condenser

Chilled Brine is to be provided to remove the moisture from the HCl gas. If chilled Brine is not available, Sulphuric acid trap is to be provided to remove the moisture from the gas generated. The Product Dry HCl gas is discharged at atmospheric pressure and goes to downstream equipment.

All the wefted parts of the system are fabricated from corrosion resistant materials (Glass/PTFE) for the process conditions envisaged.
