Super wiped film evaporator (WFE) is made of borosilicate glass and P.T.F.E.  The WFE is ideally suited for evaporating solvent solutions containing highly heat and /or metal sensitive products that are recovered in the equipment.

Contarary to other types of evaporators, including rotary evaporator, wiped film
Evaporators are characterized by a very short contact time between the solution to be evaporated and the heating surface.  The bulk of the product is never expose for more than few seconds of time to the heated surface.

WFE is built as single tube evaporator.  The feed product is spread mechanically by rotating wiper elements.  This plus force of gravity cause the product film to move continuously both horizontally and vertically, which prevents the hot spots and results in better heat transfer and gentler handling of product.

The vapor produced in WFE flow counter convent to the product flow to an external condenser.
